Gowan Lea a forty foot pleasure launch alongside the Clock Tower stage
Keith Willacy collection
“Gowan Lea” a forty foot pleasure launch alongside the Clock Tower stage. Built by Ingrams of Barrow in Furness, this boat was the pride of the pleasure boat fleet and was named after a Scots fishing boat that had carried out an heroic act during her service as a minesweeper in the First World War.
