Approaching Warton Crag - A Walk around the Bay - Image 08 - from Bolton-le-Sands
Steve King
“Approaching Warton Crag – A Walk around the Bay” is a series of photographs celebrating the changing moods and beauty of the view across Morecambe Bay and along the coast to Warton Crag. This photo was taken in September 2015 from the mud-marshes at Bolton-le-Sands, and we’re getting near to Warton Crag itself now. On the walk to this point you pass an “eel-gate” over a small inlet ……. designed to allow eels to return upstream to spawn. I’m sure local people know a lot more about this ! (For a brief Historical Note about the Crag see Image 1 in this series, or for more details see the Documents section).
